Kanemo Katsuobushi
When Kanemo was founded in 1923, Makurazaki was a town thriving on coastal fishing. Over time, deep-sea pole-and-line and purse-seine fishing became mainstream. Since our founding, we’ve pursued authentic flavors to meet the needs of the times, focusing on “dashi,” the foundation of Japanese cuisine, and preserving the tradition of katsuobushi-making.
